Does Allie LaForce husband have Huntington’s disease?

Joe Smith, the husband of American journalist, model, and beauty pageant winner Allie LaForce does not have Huntington’s disease.

However, Joe Smith has a 50% of being diagnosed with Huntington’s disease at some point in life.

Huntington’s disease (HD) is an inherited disorder in which nerve cells in various parts of the brain gradually degrade and die. It deteriorates people’s physical and mental abilities, usually during their prime working years and there is no cure.

Joe Smith’s mother was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease in 2012; the condition causes nerve cells in the brain to die. Joe Smith also witnessed his grandmother’s struggle and eventual death from Huntington’s disease.

Joe Smith and his wife Allie LaForce spend a lot of their free time raising awareness for their organisation HelpCureHD.org, which provides funding for couples to go through the PGD-IVF process in order to prevent the disease from passing down to future generations.

HelpCureHD.org has become one of the country’s premier Huntington’s disease organisations, with appearances on ESPN, Good Morning America, MLB Network, and numerous local media outlets.
