DJ Dimplez
Tumi Mooi famed as DJ Dimplez was a South African hip hop musician and Disc jockey. He was South African hip-hop Disc jockey of the Year 2013 and 2014.
DJ Dimplez was also nominated for the South African Music Award for Best Music Video of the Year.
He changed from business studies to sports psychology during his time at Wits University reason being that pursuing his passion was more essential than pursuing money.
DJ Dimplez was a contributor to the establishment of hip-hop DJs in South African entertainment. He performed in clubs and festivals including “The Apprentice S.A Finale”, “Blacks Only Comedy”, etc and his music was included on almost every music chart.
In 2019, he released the album Kubu. We Ain’t Leaving, featuring Anatii and L-Tido, and Way Up, starring Cassper Nyovest and JR, are among Dimplez’s successful singles.
Dimplez was enthused to be a DJ after attending Joburg events like Reality and 115.
In 2021, 28-year-old Dimplez claimed he was raped by the woman who announced her pregnancy with him, filing a case against the lady identified as Dariah.
Dimplez died on Sunday, March 6, 2022, according to reports.
