He was a versatile frontcourt player who usually played power forward but also played center and small forward throughout his career.

What Happened To Dirk Nowitzki?
Recently, Dirk Nowitzki has recalled a “disrespectful” gesture from Dwyane Wade and LeBron James during the 2011 NBA Finals.
In 2011, Dirk had flu-like symptoms, and as Dwyane Wade and LeBron James were heading out for warmups, they purposefully mocked his fever condition.
Wade and LeBron were captured on camera teasing him in a hallway by making fake coughing gestures. The camera was right in front of them.
Nowitzki claimed he was unaware of the mocking gesture until the night before Game 6. “I just felt like it was a little disrespectful,” he explained.
In an interview with the Washington Post, Dwyane Wade expressed regret for the gesture and admitted guilty.
Despite this, Dallas went on to win Game 5 against the Miami Heat, with Dirk Nowitzki scoring 29 points and winning the series in Game 6. For the Heat, it was a huge setback.

Dirk averaged 19.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game for Germany’s senior men’s national team.
