Gregorius, 32, was sued in November 2019 by a Florida woman who said she was the mother of his child. The woman, Nicole Regan, demanded sole custody and child support from the millionaire athlete, the Daily News reports.
Before the lawsuit was filed, Gregorius had submitted to a private genetic test which “conclusively” showed he was the father of the girl, court records show.
In response to the suit, he then asked that the court grant him and Regan “shared parental responsibility” of the girl in November 2019, as well as a change of her last name from Regan to Gregorius. The baby’s last name was officially changed on her birth certificate to Gregorius, which both parties agreed to that December.
Per reports, Regan still retained custody despite the timesharing agreement.
