What’s Wrong With Tommy Walsh? Cancer Update

Tommy Walsh was found two lumps in his chest, which indicated the signs of breast cancer. In an interview with mirror.co.uk, he adds that he didn’t realise men can have breast cancer.

Walsh was surprised to hear that around 75 men die out of 400 suffering from it each year.

Tommy has been in pretty good health all his life. Soon after finding the lumps in his breast, he realised his sister and aunt had to go through similar issues while suffering from the same disease.

He took the appointment with the same family doctor for the consultation. Thankfully the lumps were benign (non-cancerous)

Tommy is now passionate about raising awareness of breast cancer in men.

Tommy Walsh Illness, Is He Sick?

Tommy Walsh noticed a couple of lumps on the right side of his chest in 2002.

Because of his family history, the doctor suggested seeing a consultant at The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel coincidentally, the same doctor his sister had seen.

Tommy was confused about the whole thing and decided to remove the lumps under a general anaesthetic.

It was when it hit Walsh that it could be severe, and he could have breast cancer, like his relatives.

He was lucky that the diagnosis results revealed that the lumps were non-cancerous, but it was a bit of a wake-up.

Tommy is fine now and shares his story to spread awareness about breast cancer in men.

How Did Tommy Walsh Lose So Much Weight?

Tommy Walsh did not go through chemotherapy, and the lumps were not cancerous when he first went for surgery.

As a result, he is seen fit and did not lose his weight due to the disease.

However, Walsh is a fitness freak and eats healthy because of his utmost priority to health.

Tommy is helping Breast Cancer Care, which is now selling pink Makita electric drills to raise money to continue offering the best support and information to those affected by the disease.
