The word “deepfake” refers to images, video, and sound created via machine learning or artificial intelligence. It is commonly used to substitute faces or create synthetic voices that sound astonishingly identical to the person being imitated.
As per sources, the person behind this Tiktok video is Chris Umé. He spent more than two months developing an artificial intelligence model to interpret videos and images of Cruise.
The idea was to capture the Hollywood star from various viewpoints and in various lighting conditions. Thus, the videos were made using a stand-in actor, Miles Fischer, who has a similar appearance to that of Tom.
Previously, a video of Tom and Paris eating cereals also went viral on the internet. They were also made using deepfake technology.
