American actress, Mila Kunis has not shied away from how her early life was like before she rose to fame. She began playing Jackie Burkhart on the Fox television series That ’70s Show (1998–2006) at the age of 14. Since 1999, Kunis has voiced Meg Griffin on the Fox animated series Family Guy.
Did Mila Kunis grow up poor?
Many top stars were not born with a silver spoon. They fought their way up there and Mila Kunis says she was one of them. Speaking to Glamour magazine in 2016, Kunis added that her parents hustled to provide for the family, “but growing up poor, I never missed out on anything. My parents did a beautiful job of not making me feel like I was lesser than any other kids.”
Kunis comes from a Jewish family and has cited anti-Semitism in the former Soviet Union as one of several reasons for her family’s move to the United States.
