Did Mark and Digger Get Arrested? Moonshiners Stars Jail Rumors

Is it true that Mark and Digger got arrested? The well-known team known for manufacturing moonshine in their Discovery Channel show has been suspected of being in jail.

Eric Ramsey and Eric Digger Manes are the dynamic duos for capitalizing on the brewing Moonshine, an illegal high-proof distilled spirit.

Fans can catch up with the pair on Discovery Channel’s TV series Moonshiners, which is currently in its eighth season.

Did Mark and Digger Get Arrested?

The show adds a little punch here and there when it comes to their alleged outlaw life as they elude the cops from the malpractice; the show is fairly entertaining, but many have claimed that it is falsified.

There have also been claims about the distilling couple, who were arrested and serving time in prison. But it’s all the rumor, far from the truth.

Many people have remarked on how bizarre Digger and Mark are appearing in a show where they breach the law. People have been wondering how they weren’t purposefully condemning themselves by airing their illicit acts when the show first aired in 2011.

The obvious question on everyone’s mind is why the local authorities allow them to run the show if they engage in illegal activities.

The simplest answer has come from the Virginia State Police, who stated that no illegal liquor is being produced in the show and that the scenario was created by the show’s producers to attract viewers’ attention.

Moonshiners Stars Jail Rumors

Even though they claim Digger and Mark’s arrest warrants do not exist and are undocumented, they do get arrested when the cameras aren’t running.

Several other cast members have been arrested during the program, with the heaviest penalty being too late Popcorn Sutton, who was jailed in 2008 for illegally possessing a firearm and having several liters of distilled alcohol.

Two of them have successfully managed the company up until now and have escaped the reach of the law. The pair believes that the police have more pressing matters to deal with than an investigation into their Moonshine business.

“If cops aren’t involved in the recording process, they can’t use it against us because they don’t know there’s booze flowing out of the still,” Mark told WHSV TV.

Why Aren’t Moonshiners Arrested?

The same thoughts have appeared in almost every individual since the show had premiered in 2011. If they are committing illegal practices, why aren’t they arrested till now?

Local authorities will logically lack jurisdiction to initiate an investigation into what they see on screen, owing to the near impossibility of verifying the illegality of the booze.

Furthermore, law authorities can’t tell whether they’re distilling illegal liquor because the moonshine is made deep in the Appalachian forests, and Discovery airs Moonshiners months later after the shoot.

Mark stated, “We can’t allow ourselves to be found by the law since what we’re doing is against the law.” Digger adds, “Every day, we wonder if this is the day they’ll come knocking on our door.”

Since all the procedure is kept undercover, there’s no evidence that Digger and Mark have ever been arrested for moonshining.
