Charles Payne confessed to having an extramarital affair with Scottie Nell Hughes in a declaration to the National Enquirer, in 2017.
A prominent name in journalism, Charles is the host of Fox’s show Making Money with Charles Payne.
In addition to that, Payne is a financial journalist for the Fox Business network. He is also the CEO of Wall Street Strategies, as well as the company’s senior financial analyst.

Fox News host Charles Payne and Scottie Nell Hughes, a former network guest had an affair as reported by Daily Mail.
Later, Scottie accused him of rape which resulted in his suspension from Fox Business. Shortly after the Los Angeles Times first published the issue, Payne was terminated by Fox Business Network.
In a statement, a Fox Business Network official stated, “We take issues of this nature extremely seriously and have a zero-tolerance policy for any professional misconduct.”
It further read, “This matter is being thoroughly investigated and we are taking all of the appropriate steps to resolve promptly”
However, Payne rejected the allegation while admitting to having a “romantic relationship” with Hughes before the accusation. Then, he also apologized to his wife, children, and colleagues in a statement to the National Enquirer.
Scottie stated she kept an apartment near Fox’s Manhattan headquarters for the length of the romance in the hopes of securing a permanent position with the network.
After ending the affair in 2015 and reporting Payne to Fox, Hughes’ public appearances were dramatically restricted. Payne’s ban from the network was lifted on 8 September 2017.
