Now, there is a follow-up series from the same team named Tiger King 2. The viewers have long waited to know more about Carole and the disappearance of her husband, Don.

There is no evidence to prove that Carol Baskin killed her husband. These are rumors that viewers started after knowing about her story through the series. They speculate that she may have killed her husband. 

In the series, Joe Exotic is a polygamist that owned and operated an exotic big cat park in Oklahoma. Carol, on the other hand, owns Big Cat Rescue, a Florida-based organization that advocates for the end of abuse towards big cats in captivity. It was co-owned by her husband as well. 

Thus at one point, both of them clash with each other and she heavily criticizes practices and conditions at Joe’s zoo. It was shown in the series that he later tries to kill her by hiring a hitman. 

However, she is also said to be not blameless as she seems. The story turns the table after her husband disappeared without any trace. Thus, Joe and some social media users assumed that she might have killed her husband by feeding him to their tigers. 

Nevertheless, there is no evidence to prove that and the police have declared him dead in 2002. However, his daughter has filed a lawsuit against her for fraud and seeking information about his death. 

Update On Don Lewis Death or Murder

There is no conclusion whether the Don Lewis case is death or murder. He went missing in 1997 after leaving his home in Tampa, Florida. His van was founded at a private airport. 

Carol told the police that he had told her he was going on a trip to Costa Rica. The police were never able to trace him and find his whereabouts. Thus he was legally announced dead in 2002. 

He left behind $5 million worth of assets. Almost all of them were controlled by his second wife after his disappearance, according to relatives. 

His daughter told People that the animal sanctuary is the best place to dispose of someone. The case is still open with no arrest and charges made to date.
