Twenty-five years ago Diane Blood had won the chance to conceive a child using sperm from her dead husband. However, two decades even after her victory, it remains a hotly debated topic.
Blood along with her grown-up sons recently went on ITV’s Lorraine this morning to discuss her legalization journey.

Diane Blood is happily living with her two grown sons; Liam and Joel. The family of three currently resides in Workshop, Nottinghamshire.
It has already been 25 years since Diane won her legal battle, according to the Daily Mail.
Diane had won a five-year battle to have her late husband’s name appear on her children’s birth certificates in September 2003.
Longtime ago, the mother of two worked as a freelance advertising copywriter.

Diane Blood has two sons Liam and Joel, from her late husband Stephen Blood.
The children were conceived after removing sperm from their late father when he was in a coma, after becoming ill with meningitis.
Meanwhile, the English court had argued that it was illegal to store Stephen’s sperm.
After a long battle with the law, Blood had finally won the case. In 1997, she was allowed to conceive a child using sperm from her dead husband.
Diane further had to fight to have her husband’s name put on both of her sons’ birth certificates.
Speaking to the ITV show, Diane told: “I think there’s probably more interest in the case now as time goes on it obviously gets into more and more history books.”
“It’s interesting to meet the people who were involved. As time goes on, the interest has gathered momentum in a way that I never expected it would. I didn’t really expect to be talking about it so much later.”
Diane Blood Age Difference With Her Sons
Diane Blood’s current age is 55 years old. She was 35 years old in 1995 when her lengthy and traumatic court case had begun.
After winning the battle in 1997, she had begun IVF treatment in Belgium. Her eldest son Liam Blood was born in 1998, he is currently 23 years old.
Likewise, Blood’s second son Joel is currently 19 years of age. Both had received their legal birth certificates in the year 2003.
