In 2007, Dzogchen Ranyak Patrul Rinpoche—an revered holder of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition—founded Dharma City with the help and support of a community of students from Belgium and all over the world.
Furthermore Lopön Jampa Norgyal and Lopön Tsering Gönpo, both accomplished scholars and practitioners, assist Patrul Rinpoche in his projects by teaching and editing the Buddhist scriptures, mostly in Dharma City.
Longer seminars and retreats take place from May to September, attracting students and practitioners worldwide.
From September to May, Dharma City organises weekend activities such as meditation courses and cultural events.
Local people are also fond of the teahouse with its large range of tea and cuisine that includes Tibetan specialities.
