Devonte Wyatt’s girlfriend complained about the domestic violence act, which eventually broke the relationship between the two. Wyatt was arrested for damaging the property while banging on the door of her ex-girlfriend.
Devonte attended Towers High School in Decatur, Georgia, where he grew up. Devonte was a three-star recruit who originally committed to play college football at SC before switching to Georgia.
He was academically ineligible to play at Georgia, so he did not enroll. He started his collegiate career at Hutchinson Community College to fulfill the academic requirements for Division I football.
Wyatt had 30 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks as a freshman. After his first year, Wyatt met the academic requirements to enroll at Georgia.
