Dermot Desmond net worth: Dermot Desmond is an Irish businessman and financier who has a net worth of $2 billion. Dermot Desmond made his career beginnings at Citibank, before taking on position, briefly, as a banking consultant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Afghanistan. In 1981, he founded NCB Stockbrokers, which eventually became the largest independent brokerage in Ireland. However, in 1994 Desmond sold NCB for $39 million, and he set up his own private equity firm, International Investment & Underwriting. As for his current investments, they include biometrics company Daon, Mountain Province Diamonds, Barchester Healthcare, and Glasgow soccer club Celtic PLC. Apart from his business deals, Desmond is an avid golfer and thanks to his distinctive mustache he is favorably known as “The Kaiser.”
