Dennis Lillee Net Worth, Income, Salary, Earnings, Biography

Dennis Keith Lillee, AM, MBE (born 18 July 1949 in Subiaco, Western Australia) is a former Australian cricketer who was hailed as the “greatest fast bowler of his generation.” Lillee was awarded the Order of Australia in recognition of his services to cricket. His fierce nature, “never-say-die” attitude, and popularity with the fans made Lillee a well-known figure in the sport. The early portion of Lillee’s career saw him develop into a very fast bowler, but a series of stress fractures in his spine almost put an end to his professional career.

He battled his way back to full health by following a rigorous training regimen, and he was finally able to return to international cricket. By the time of his retirement from international cricket in 1984, he had established himself as one of the most recognised and famous Australian sportsmen of all time, having broken the previous world record for the most Test wickets (355). Lillee was inducted into the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket Hall of Fame on December 17, 2009. He has also made contributions to the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai, India, where he now resides.
