Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Danish Visa.
- A Tanzanian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- Duly completed and signed visa application form.
- The parents/legal guardians have to sign the form if the applicant is a minor.
- Three passport-size photographs (4.5 x 3.5 cm) taken on a white background.
- Travel documents must be completely provided.
- Proof of financial capability.
- Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Documentation showing applicants’ ties to the home country.

Denmark is ranked as the eleventh most developed country in the world. The country is said to be one of the countries with the lowest level of corruption and has one of the world’s highest per capita income.

Denmark Business Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- This business visa is for foreign nationals who are visiting Denmark to partake in business activities.
- During your time in the country, you can meet up with business partners to negotiate and sign contracts.
- Trade fairs, conferences, and business summits can be attended by holders of this visa.
- A letter of invitation from the company you are meeting up with should be provided.
- The purpose and duration of your visit should be stated in the letter.
- If the company you are meeting with will be responsible for your expenses while you are in the country, it should be stated in the letter.
- Your employer should provide a letter stating that he/she is aware of your business leave. The purpose of your visit to the country, the duration, and the purpose of your visit should be clearly stated.
- Proof of prior business dealings between you and the company should be provided if any.
- The original certified copy of their memorandum and article of association certificate, trade license, proprietorship/partnership document should be submitted.
- A certificate of business registration of your business partner in Denmark is required.
- For private business owners, a copy of their Income Tax Return(ITR) form or certificate of income tax deducted from salary should be submitted.
- Holders of this visa cannot be paid for the services they render while they are in the country.
- Applicants are to submit approved health insurance that covers their duration of stay or its equivalent of 30,000 euros.
- Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation that covers the applicant’s duration of stay should be submitted.
- Tanzanians are not permitted to seek public funds or work with a business visa. To work in Denmark, you must have a Denmark work visa and a work permit that allows foreign nationals to work in Denmark.
- Receipt of paid visa application fee is required to be submitted.
- You are expected to exit the country at the expiration of your visa.
- All applicants are to appear in person for the submission of their visa application.
- Only documents that are in English or Danish will be accepted.
Denmark Medical Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- This visa is for applicants who seek medical assistance/services in Denmark.
- This visa is valid for 90 days and you are to leave Denmark on or before its expiration.
- If your treatment is going to last longer than 90 days, you are advised to apply for a national visa.
- You are to possess a passport issued within the last ten years and should have a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of travel.
- Two recent passport photographs not older than 3 months should be submitted.
- A medical report from your doctor in Tanzania is to be provided and should why the treatment cannot be received/administered in Tanzania should also be stated in the letter.
- An attestation from the hospital or doctor you are meeting with should be provided.
- The date of your appointment and your medical condition should also be stated.
- If you are employed, a letter from your employer is required.
- Your employer should state in the letter that he is aware of your leave. Your position and duration of your employment in the company should be clearly stated.
- Proof of health insurance that has a minimum value of 30,000 euros should be submitted.
- Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant’s duration of stay should be submitted also.
- Applicants round trip reservation that shows entry and exit from Denmark should be submitted.
- Payment receipt of medical fees should be tendered during the visa application process.
- Minors must ensure they possess the original copy of their birth certificate.
- If they are traveling with one of their parents, a document of consent which is signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
- You are not allowed to work while you are in the country.
- At the end of your treatment, you are expected to leave the country.
- Holders are not allowed to take up permanent residence in the country.
- Proof of paid visa application fee is required.
- The documents provided during the visa application process should be in English or Danish.
Denmark Student Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- This visa type is for Tanzanians who wish to travel to Denmark to study in an academic institution.
- The study visa permits its holder to remain in Denmark for a duration of 3 months.
- Before you apply for the student visa, you must have received an admission offer to study in Denmark from a Danish educational institution.
- If an applicant’s study would exceed 3 months, the applicant should apply for a long-stay study visa.
- Applicants are to submit a valid passport with a validity of not less than 6 months from the proposed date of travel.
- A copy of passport’s biometric data should be submitted.
- Applicants are to submit their previous passports together with the current one, if any.
- You must have been accepted to study in one of the institutions in the country before this visa is issued to you.
- A letter of acceptance written with the official letterhead of the school you have been accepted into is required.
- Certificates and transcripts from previously attended schools should be provided.
- A copy of your stay permit in Tanzania should be provided for non-citizens of Tanzania.
- Foreign students may work in Denmark part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
- Proof of academic qualification for the intended course of study should be submitted by the applicant.
- Proof of financial sufficiency that covers applicants duration of stay must be provided in order to travel to Denmark to study.
- Proof of part or full payment of tuition fee should be submitted.
- This visa may be extended to cover the period of your study.
- Proof of accommodation in the form of dormitory contract or rental agreement should be submitted.
- If you are a minor travelling without your parent, a letter of consent signed by both your parents should be provided. Also, an unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required.
- Receipt of paid visa application form is required.
- To study in Denmark, you must provide proof of some proficiency of the Danish language.
Denmark Tourist Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- Tanzanians who want to travel to Denmark for tourism, sightseeing, relaxation, and recreational purposes are eligible to apply for this tourist visa.
- The tourist visa is the same as the visitor visa. Tanzanians intending to visit friends and relatives in the country can do so using this visa.
- Since Denmark is one of the Schengen countries, the Danish tourist visa allows its holder to visit other countries in the Schengen Area.
- Foreigners traveling to the country to visit friends and relatives should ensure that they have a letter of invitation from the host. The home address and telephone number of the host should be clearly stated in the letter of invitation.
- Events and festivals can be attended by Tanzanians with this visa.
- If you are employed, a letter from your employer stating allowance and awareness of your leave is to be submitted.
- The purpose of your visit and the duration of your stay in the country should be stated in the letter.
- Applicants are to submit their passport which must have a validity of at least six months from the proposed date of travel.
- Copies of previous visas should also be submitted.
- A travel health insurance that covers the applicant’s duration of stay should be submitted with a minimum of 30,000 euros.
- Applicants are to provide their travel itinerary with dates and flight numbers specifying the entry and exit of the applicant from Denmark.
- Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant’s duration of stay should be submitted. The standard for all foreigners is 350 DKK per day for the duration of their stay.
- Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be submitted.
- For those retired, a document proving pension or other financial support is required.
- Children under the age of 18 years should ensure that they have the original copy of their birth certificate.
- If they are traveling without their parents, a document of consent signed by both parents should be made available.
- Proof that you have the incentive of returning to Tanzania at the expiration of your visa should be submitted.
- Proof of payment of visa application fees should be provided.
- During your time in the country, you are not allowed to seek public funds or work in Denmark.
- You are expected to leave Denmark on or before the expiration of this visa.
- Overstaying the duration of your visa or attempting to use this visa to obtain a long-term residence will result in you being handed a penalty period of between 3 – 5 years.
- The documents provided should either be in English or Danish.
