Neshormoh served in the position for nearly five years before getting replaced by the current Vice Chair Consuelo Montoya in January 2022.
Damiri’s mom Neshormeh NR Lindo is an artist and professional educator originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She works as a visual artist and curator with a passion for lecturing. Further, she regularly writes about the African-American community’s cultural and socio-political history. Throughout her professional career, Lindo has worked for various educational organizations like the New York Public Library, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Baltimore Museum of Art, Children’s Museum of Manhattan, Oakland Museum of California, and more. As of now, she is employed as an African-American Art History Teacher at the San Francisco City College.
