PK Subban is a pro ice hockey defenseman currently a free agent. Subban most recently played for the National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils.
The Montreal Canadiens selected him in the second round, 43rd overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. In 2013, the athlete won the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman and tied Kris Letang for the season’s most points among defensemen.
The defenseman agreed to sign an eight-year, $72 million contract with the Canadiens in the summer of 2014, which runs through the 2021-22 season.
He was traded to the Nashville Predators after the 2015-16 season, where he lasted three seasons before being traded to New Jersey in 2019. PK also works as an NHL analyst for ESPN.
PK Subban Was Born To Karl and Maria Subban
PK was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Karl and Maria Subban. In the 1970s, both his parents immigrated to Ontario from the Caribbean.
Karl, his father, relocated from Jamaica to Sudbury, and Maria, his mother, relocated from Montserrat to Hamilton.
His father is a retired school principal who made a good living for his family, so PK had a happy childhood.
Karl and Maria were responsible parents who raised their children well, and their children have grown up to be wonderful people.
His parents have always encouraged their children to excel in sports, and his father may have participated in sports with his children when they were young.
Karl and Maria are both Canadian citizens who appear to be Christians.
Malcolm and Jordan’s brother is PK Subban
PK Subban is the brother of Malcolm and Jordan Subban, and they appear to be close.
Malcolm is a National Hockey League goaltender and anthem singer for the Buffalo Sabres. The Boston Bruins chose Malcolm in the first round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
The goaltender played junior hockey for the Belleville Bulls in the Ontario Hockey League.
The Chicago Blackhawks traded him to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for future considerations on December 2, 2021. Malcolm made his debut with the Sabres, allowing six goals on 25 shots before being pulled in the third period of a 6-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on December 4.
The anthem singer was Team Canada’s goalkeeper at the 2013 World Junior Championships in Ufa, Russia.
On the other hand, Jordan is a professional ice hockey defenseman who is an unrestricted free agent. Jordan was most recently with the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears (AHL).
He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the fourth round (115th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. On May 14, 2015, the Canucks signed him to a three-year entry-level contract. The Canucks assigned him to their American Hockey League associate following training camp for the 2015-16 season.
The defenseman was with the Comets for the entire season, recording 11 goals and 25 assists in 67 games.
Jordan sat out the pandemic-affected and shortened 2020-21 season as a free agent before signing a one-year AHL contract with the Hershey Bears on August 12, 2021.
Natasha and Nastassia are PK Subban’s Sisters
Nastassia is the oldest child in Subban’s family. Nastassia is a Jane and Finch teacher who assists with the school’s hot lunch program, which provides nutritious meals to students who do not have one.
PK’s elder sister wanted to work in family law to help children and their parents initially, but she quickly realized that wasn’t the job for her.
Natasha also went into teaching and now shares her artistic knowledge with her students at Elmbank Middle Junior School.
PK’s elder sister is also in control of enhancing literacy at her school after tests revealed that students were struggling.
The sisters also played a crucial role in assisting P.K. In September; he made a $10 million donation to the Montreal Children’s Hospital, which the hospital described as “the biggest charitable dedication by a sports figure in Canadian history.”
P.K. and Lindsey Vonn Subban Ended their Engagement
On Tuesday, December 29, 2020, PK Subban and Lindsey Vonn announced the end of their engagement on Instagram. When PK proposed to Lindsey in August 2019, the couple became engaged.
She also proposed to him shortly after Christmas. Lindsey stated at the time that engagement rings aren’t just for women.
The split appears acceptable, as PK and Lindsey shared the same Instagram photo with similar captions.
The hockey player referred to Lindsey as “one of the most kindhearted caring people I know” in his post, and he, like Lindsey, stated that they have “decided to move forward separately.”
In 2019, the athlete proposed with an emerald ring, Lindsey’s birthstone and favorite color.
The former ski racer said she was surprised by the engagement because they hadn’t discussed it or looked at rings together. Lindsey also stated that they were not in any hurry to marry.
The couple began dating in 2018 and were together for two years before splitting up.
