‘Dear Future Husband’ Singer Meghan Trainor Relationship Timeline With Spouse Daryl Sabara

The “Made You Look” singer reportedly met Sabara for the first time.

Trainor once went to a songwriting party that Sabara and his buddies just so happened to crash. When asked about this incident, Trainor recalled that she fangirled a lot when she first met the Spy Kids actor.

The singer claimed that going up to Sabara was out of character for her because she often keeps her fangirl silence. She had no idea that charming encounter would mark the start of her love journey.

She recalled, “Two years later, I rose to fame as a music sensation and met Chloe Moretz. I was like, “I just want a good guy. I’m sick of all these rude men.

Chloe Moretz successfully played matchmaker by inviting Sabara and Trainor on a double date, and then the magic of love just happened. The two had “never been apart” since that time.

Trainor and Sabara first met at a house party in 2014. But they wouldn’t start dating until years later.

When Trainor was finally ready to meet a great guy in July 2016, she turned to her new pal Chlo Grace Moretz for assistance. During an appearance on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix series, Moretz said that she should meet Daryl, the nicest guy in the world, in response to her plea.

On a double date with Moretz and her ex-boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham, Trainor and Sabara played bowling and performed karaoke. Sabara is musical, but he felt too afraid to sing along with Trainor, a Grammy winner.

However, after only a few weeks of dating, she made a marriage prediction after being impressed by his performance of Elton John’s “Your Song.”

Although Sabara was anxious to perform in front of Trainor, it seems that his rendition of “Your Song” by Elton John went more smoothly than anticipated. Soon later, Sabara accompanied Trainor on tour, and on July 2, 2017, he posted a message on Instagram wishing his girlfriend a happy one-year anniversary.

Trainor made it known to everyone that she and Sabara were now wed. She captioned a selfie of the couple with “I’m in Madrid… and this guy” on Instagram.

Trainor revealed to PEOPLE that she and Sabara celebrated their five-month anniversary by going out on a date to a local eatery. He also knew the ideal present to give her. She stated: “He bought me puzzles because he is aware of my current obsession with them. We spent the entire evening conversing while sitting still, and it was the most fun I’ve had in a while.”

The singer discussed having her second vocal cord surgery on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

 She stated: “My partner was the real trooper because he taught himself sign language so that I wouldn’t have to type anything for him. I would get irritated and say, “No, wrong!” but he would keep trying to learn and he just stuck with me through it.

Even if his paintings weren’t as good as mine, he would continue to paint alongside me. He worked hard at it.”

Sabara proposed to Trainor on December 21, 2017 after 18 months of dating. 

The day before her 24th birthday, while they were visiting the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens in Palm Springs, California. The next day, Trainor posted a video of the proposal along with the exciting news on Instagram.

She captioned the video, “I SAID YESSSS!!!! “The love of my life, @darylsabara, fulfilled all of my wishes for my 24th birthday. He surprised me with my family and friends and got down on one knee in front of a tunnel lit up with gorgeous Christmas lights. I’m still astonished. Never have I felt so joyful! I appreciate how my family, friends, and Daryl made me feel like a true princess.”

On his Instagram grid, Sabara posted a similar video with the caption: “My soul mate, happy birthday. Thank you for accepting my proposal and for permanently altering my life! You are the world’s most attractive fiancée. Meg, you are my favorite.”

According to Trainor’s interview with Entertainment Tonight, her fiancé performs on each and every song on her third album, Treat Myself.

Later, she revealed to PEOPLE, “Every day in the studio, he was at my side, making me feel special. The love songs required me to slow down since they were so simple for me.”

To commemorate their two-year wedding anniversary, the singer shared a sweet video of Sabara.

She claimed that she had never felt this level of love from anyone, and she revealed that the couple, who were engaged, had celebrated their anniversary in Hawaii’s “paradise.” She said, “I love you more than life.”

Additionally, Sabara shared a heartfelt homage to his future wife. He wrote, “Before wishing you a happy anniversary, “Every single day has become better over the past two years. I will always and forever love you.”

They got married On December 22, 2018, the couple’s one-year anniversary. That also happened to be Trainor’s 25th birthday.

According to People, the couple wed in a backyard in Los Angeles in front of 100 guests, and they both shared pictures from the special day with their followers. I am married to the most gorgeous woman! Along with a picture of himself and Trainor from the wedding, Sabara posted on December 23.

“I appreciate you making me the world’s luckiest man. I will always love you, Meghan Trainor.” Trainor posted the same image along with the following message: “I’ll always be a wife! Excellent birthday ever! I’d like to thank everyone who made it possible. @darylsabara, I will always love you.”

The bride wore an off-the-shoulder Berta dress for the ceremony before changing for the reception into a Rita Vinieris lace suit and Aldo sneakers.

Trainor referred to the trip as the couples’ “familymoon.”

Instead of taking a honeymoon when they were simply the two of them, as is typical. After their wedding, the couple went on a tropical honeymoon to Bora Bora with Ryan Trainor, Ryan’s brother, and his female companion.

As soon as Sabara and Trainor got married, Trainor told PEOPLE she was ready to start a family.

We’d be absolutely pregnant right now if we could do things the way we wanted to, she said. But she said that she would hold off until after her third album, Treat Myself, went on tour.

Trainor’s second EP, The Love Train, was influenced by her relationship with Sabara.

She even performed one of her own songs from the album, “Marry Me,” as she walked down the aisle.

Trainor originally didn’t intend to release that song, but she changed her mind and said, “We have to get this out in some unique way, I thought as I was walking down the aisle. It would be good for other people if they want to walk down the aisle to it, which is what has me excited.”

In a social media statement, Sabara acknowledged her three years of “total magic” with Trainor.

His message read as follows: “You were the best girlfriend ever. The most attractive fiancée ever, you. A husband could never ask for a more devoted and caring wife than you. I appreciate how you accept me as I am and provide me such joy every day.”

She revealed that her husband’s moniker with her brothers is “Serial Killer.” When Trainor made an appearance on A Little Late with Lilly Singh. 

She gave an explanation for the moniker, stating, “We refer to him as Serial Killer because if you date or marry me, which he did, you kind of have to marry my brothers as well. The happy news that Trainor and Sabara are expecting their first child together was revealed.

Trainor uploaded a photo of the ultrasound to Instagram with the statement, “You all are aware of how long I have desired this! We are incredibly delighted and eager to meet this little sweetie early next year with @darylsabara! WE’RE GETTING PREGNANT!” The identical ultrasound image was tweeted by Sabara along with the message, “I love you @meghan trainor and I can’t wait to start a family with you.”

Trainor and Sabara made their pregnancy announcement while appearing on the Today show. She began by chatting about Christmas before revealing that she had additional news to give. Daryl, hit it, she urged. We’re expecting,” he exclaimed with excitement.

Riley, a male, was the couple’s first child, who was born on February 8, 2021. They announced the good news on Instagram, and Trainor said that she and Sabara adored their kid. 

The joyful news was also shared by Sabara, who called Trainor his “forever Valentine.” I’m so very grateful for you bringing our son into the world, he continued.

Trainor didn’t disclose that there had been some difficulty leading up to, during, and following Riley’s birth until several months later.

Because the infant was breech, a cesarean section was required. After his birth, he experienced “breathing problems,” which necessitated a hospitalization in the neonatal critical care unit. Riley made a quick recovery, and Trainor felt fortunate that, after five days, she could bring him home. Later, she wrote on her blog that he was “wonderful, joyful, and healthy.”

The “Bad for Me” singer spoke exclusively with PEOPLE. Its about how having Riley has affected her songwriting process.

“I instructed everyone to arrive at my house at 11 a.m. and depart by 6 p.m., therefore the schedule has changed. So after writing a song together, I would say, “It’s supper time, goodbye,” “She revealed. “Baby breaks would also be available. I might say, “Be right back, boys.” I’m going to go bathe my child. Being able to work from home is a blessing for me. Many people say, “I don’t enjoy working from home,” but I adore it and don’t want to leave!”

“I’m fortunate enough to be able to work from home and visit my baby,” she continued. I now have a greater regard for mothers who work. I’m fortunate to be able to see him. And I discussed it with my therapist.

Riley Trainor, the baby of Trainor and Sabara, slept nonstop after his delivery.

The singer claimed in an interview with PEOPLE, adding that the medical personnel blamed her. They said, “Sometimes it occurs,” she recalled, and then some nurses said, “Well, it’s because you’re on antidepressants.” And I respond, “Yeah, but others have informed me it’s not that.

Trainor continued, “Not having an explanation was just incredibly frustrating. It was incredibly frustrating not to have an explanation for why my child didn’t wake up for a week.

In the weeks following the birth of her baby, Trainor claims she sought therapy from a professional who assisted her in processing the event. When she tried to fall asleep at night, she began to experience PTSD. “[We] recognized how traumatic that all was,” she stated. “I would be back on the operating table in the C-section.”

In particular, given that she and Sabara are trying for a second child, Trainor continues, it’s “frightening” to dwell back on her labor experience. “Going into another pregnancy with the thought, “Well, I hope that doesn’t happen again,” is frightening. A video of the group getting dressed in their hotel room was posted online by Trainor. Riley gets dressed in his very own Mickey sweater as the couple don bucket hats with Disney themes.
