Deane Lester spent the majority of her childhood on Mornington Peninsula stud farms. He was a Dromana native. He attended Peninsula Grammar School.
Together with the stud horses on the farm, Lester also had a Shetland pony.
Deane first thought about going into the horse racing industry as a trainer, but ultimately made the decision to pursue his love of horses through the media.
Since then, Lester has made a name for himself as a reliable voice on RSN Radio.
