Garmin-David Sharp’s Millar (born 4 January 1977) is a Scottish road racing cyclist who competes for the team. He has won four stages of the Tour de France, five stages of the Vuelta a Espaa, and one stage of the Giro d’Italia. He has also won four stages of the Tour de Suisse. In 2007, he won both the British national road championship and the British national time trial championship. He is the only British rider to have worn all of the Tour de France jerseys, and he is one of just six riders to have worn the yellow jersey throughout the event’s history. He was also the first (of only two) British riders to have worn the leader’s jersey in each of the three Grand Tours, a distinction he has to this day. He was banned for two years in 2004 after admitting to using prohibited performance-enhancing substances, but he returned to the sport four years later and earned a silver medal at the World Time Trial Championships in the process. He is not connected to another Scottish rider Robert Millar, who is also a professional cyclist.
