David Irving – Bio, Girlfriend, Weight, Height, Measurements, NFL Career

David Irving is a football player who plays the position of defensive lineman with the Dallas Cowboys. He began his career as an undrafted free agent signed by the Kansas City Chief before joining the Dallas Cowboys. He played for San Jacinto High School and also for Iowa State University. Moreso, he is known as one of the best cowboys. But aside from what we’ve seen of him in game, there’s a lot more to this player that you know about. Learn about his career and the many issues that came with it, as well as his family life and body stats.

Biography of David Irving

David was born David JaRodd Irving to his twin brother Nicholas Irving on August 18, 1993 in Compton, California, United States. He grew up in Compton with his family and grandparents. His father named Rickey Harris was a Marine sergeant while his mother’s name is Kimberly Irving.

The boy moved to San Jacinto as a youth, where he attended San Jacinto High School and began playing football as a defensive tackle and later as a tight end. He recorded 19 receptions for 298 yards, 76 tackles, 5 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, seven sacks and 4 touchdowns.

He was favored with 3 scholarship offers from prestigious universities; Nevada, Colorado State and Iowa State, from which he selected Iowa State University. In the 3 years he spent there, he registered one touchdown, 8 pass receptions, 44 tackles, one interception and one fumble, and blocked 3 sacks in 32 games in which he had 8 starts.

However, David Irving was reportedly fired after being released from school in 2014, after a publication surfaced of him being caught in a photo holding a stop sign and a light pole during the VEISHEA festival. As if that wasn’t enough, he once again got caught up in a domestic violence case with his then-girlfriend Angela Sanchez. This act led to his eventual dismissal from college.

NFL career

In 2015, David signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs as an uncalled free agent. Subsequently, under the NFL’s draft, he received a dispensation and was placed full in the practice squad.

A few weeks later, he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys while he was still on the City Chiefs practice team to replaceDaphne Coleman, likely because he had the longest wingspan at around 8 inches, which he used to put forward a field goal in 2015 to block the Seahawks. He acted as a backup defense device. Before the end of the season, however, he recorded 14 quarterback pressures that made him the 6th person on the team.

Irving came into the 2016 season recording 3 fumbles, one, a sack and a pass in a game he played against the Green Bay Packers. The game ended in a 30-16 win and David was named NFL Defensive Player of the Week.

In March 2017, he renewed his contract with the Cowboys and was later found in June to have a banned substance in his system. (He claimed he didn’t know that a natural drink he took had hidden ingredients). He was later suspended by the NFL from playing the first four games of the season. When the ban was lifted, he switched to a three-tech defensive tackle.

The footballer started his 2018 season on a bad note as he was involved in a failed drug test case. He tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs banned by the NFL. Because of this, he sent in another four-game suspension, which he served until October 2018, at which point it ended.

Despite all the difficulties the defensive lineman has endured, he still has his head high on the pitch. In his NFL career stats to date, he has seen 35 games in professional football action, 52 combined tackles, 33 total tackles, 19 assisted tackles, 11.5 sacks with 5 forced fumbles, and gallantly defended 12 passes. David also recovered 1 fumble and successfully blocked a kick. Although he doesn’t have a touchdown and has missed many games due to game bans and concussions, he has suffered from it while playing. He was named the NFL’s leading defenseman in week 13 of the 2017 season.

Personal life: wife or girlfriend

David Irving was once in a living relationship with Angela Sanchez, whom he met during his senior year at San Jacinto High School, and they have a daughter together who was born on December 5, 2012 and whom they named Zoe. However, their relationship has been tumultuous as the duo have had arguments on and off and at one point had the police getting into their affair. Angela, who moved in with David in June 2013, was forced to return to California with her daughter by November 2013 after they had a falling out over his phone problem, which escalated to David giving her a cut.
