David Cook Children: Does David Cook have a child?

David Roland Cook, a well-known American rock singer-songwriter born on December 20, 1982, became well-known in 2008 after taking home the title of “American Idol”‘s seventh season.

Cook was well-known in the music industry prior to his breakthrough on American Idol. In high school, he and his friend Bobby Kerr formed the band Axium, which they later renamed Red Eye.

Later, the ensemble issued several live albums in addition to three studio albums, including “Matter of Time,” “Blindsided,” and “The Story Thus Far.” Young Cook fell in love with music, and at the age of 15, he wrote his first song, “Red Hot.”

Evan Sula-Goff of the band 8stops7 noticed his talent and pushed him to follow his musical goals. Sula-Goff’s visit to Cook’s school to judge the Mr. Jaguar competition inspired Cook to record an album, and during the performance, Cook and his band covered the Guns N’ Roses song “Paradise City.”

Axium enjoyed some noteworthy successes, such as having their song “Hold” played in movie theaters across the country and being selected as one of the top 15 indie bands in the nation by the “Got Milk?” competition. They also received recognition in 2004 as Kansas City’s top band. One of the group’s significant albums was the live album Alive in Tulsa.
