Searching for an hour, the investigators found the remains of what they believe are the 51-year-old mother near Bush Road and Indiantown Road, Jupiter Police Chief Daniel Kerr said.
The officer said, “We hope that this will bring closure to the family now that Gretchen has been located.” He added, “Anthony will be sentenced to 38 years in prison early next year, according to his plea.
Gretchen was a mother to one child. Anthony had an open divorce case that was filed in February 2020. He could have divorced Gretchen rather than killing his wife and taking away a mother from his child.
Is Gretchen Anthony Husband David Anthony In Jail Now?
David Anthony, the husband of Gretchen Anthony, was sentenced to 38 years behind bars for his wife’s murder. However, he pleaded guilty to lesser charges before the court.
In exchange for the plea during December 2020, he told authorities where the remains of Gretchen had been located for the past few months since her murder, about 3 miles from her Abacoa home.
He was extradited to Palm Beach County in May 2020, he was charged for his crime at the Palm Beach County Jail. He was pronounced guilty and serving his sentence in jail now.

Gretchen Anthony was reported missing on March 26, 2020, by her family. The police’s cadaver dog detected the scent of a dead body at her home with the evidence of attempted clean-up.

Her husband, David Anthony, 43 years old then was charged with second-degree murder and kidnapping in the March 21 killing of his wife, Gretchen who was 51 years old then.
On March 31, 2020, David was arrested in Las Cruces, New Mexico, when a cadaver dog picked up the scent of a dead body inside his vehicle. He is serving his sentence as of 2022.
