Dateline Rear Window: Corey Parker Murder Case Update
Corey Parker’s murder case has been solved, and justice has also been served as her murderer was found and given the punishment for his ill-intentioned crimes.
In 1998, the young woman was found dead inside her Jacksonville Beach apartment, and it took police more than a year to find a microscopic clue to solve the case.
According to Medium, Parker was stabbed by a knife 101 times, and among those wounds, 54 of those stabbings occurred after she was already dead.
The 25-year-old girl tried her best to defend herself from the brutal attack of her attacker, but in the end, she could not get the upper hand on it, thus, resulting in her death.
Police tailing a suspect in the stabbing death of a waitress in 1998 got the evidence needed to charge the man when he spits in a parking lot. Her co-worker even came to visit her house when she did not come to work at the restaurant. But when her co-worker returned to her house again after a while, he noticed blood on Corey’s foot through the window. After seeing this unusual thing, he informed the police.
As per the investigation, the police found that the perpetrator entered the apartment and escaped from the rear kitchen window.
This case took two years to get solved as the culprit the police authorities were looking for outside lived near the victim’s house, her neighbor Robert Denney. Well, who would have thought that the Killer that the investigators had been looking for, for years was near the periphery and lived right across from the victim’s home?
DNA tests on Denney’s saliva matched similar tests on hair and blood at the victim’s apartment, which put him as a suspect then.
Where Is Robert Denney Now? Who Killed Corey Parker?
Robert Eric Denney killed Corey Parker, and he is currently in jail as he received a life sentence, as noted in Sports Keeda.
He was 19 years old in 2001, but this teenager did not bat an eye when committing the heinous crime of murdering someone at 17 when he mercilessly ended his life with Parker with his own hands in 1998. The culprit was charged with first-degree murder after being found guilty of killing Parker and thus given a punishment of life imprisonment. Robert is infamous with the name Stalker turned Killer.
The Killer and victim both were familiar with each other as Denney had been a neighbor of Parker. This murder is connected to a love matter as he reportedly said he was obsessed with a waitress Parker. Perhaps something happened between them, perhaps a fight, which might have led the then-teenager to act out of rage and do something unforgivable.
Corey Parker’s Parents And Family
Corey Parker was an independent person and lived alone away from her parents. Her father, Bruce Parker, who could not accept the reality that his priceless daughter was no more, tagged the Killer as a monster.
When the actual Killer was spotted, her dad said that when the culprit murdered her child, he also killed a piece of so many people.
Originally from Rochester, New York, Parker later moved to Jacksonville, Florida, for her further studies and to spend a quiet life near the beach, which she loved.
