Dany Heatley Net Worth, Income, Salary, Earnings, Biography

A Canadian professional ice hockey winger, Daniel James Heatley (born January 21, 1981) presently plays for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League as a right wing (NHL). He was originally selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, and he went on to win the Calder Memorial Trophy as the best NHL rookie the following year. Nevertheless, after being found to be at fault in a vehicle accident that claimed the life of teammate and close friend Dan Snyder in September 2003, he sought a trade and was ultimately traded to the Ottawa Senators, who acquired him. In his time with the Senators, Heatley established club records for single-season goals (50) in back-to-back seasons in 2005–2006 and 2006–2007, as well as points (105), both of which he accomplished during the 2006–2007 campaign. With linemates Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson on the left flank, he had a productive season. Following the establishment of the line in the 2005-2006 season, it was regularly among the top-scoring units in the NHL, with the three combining for a total of 296 points in that season. Heatley has competed for Team Canada in six World Championships, two Olympics, one World Cup of Hockey, and two World Junior Championships. He has also represented Canada in the World Junior Championships. In 2008, he overtook Marcel Dionne to become Canada’s all-time leading scorer in the World Championships, and he also passed Steve Yzerman to become the tournament’s all-time leading point scorer.
Heatley requested a trade from the Ottawa Senators at the conclusion of the 2008–09 season. After a deal was struck in which Heatley would be traded to the Edmonton Oilers on June 30, the player refused to waive his no-trade clause. In exchange for Milan Michálek, Jonathan Cheechoo, and a second-round draught selection in 2010, he was traded to the San Jose Sharks on September 12. Having spent the previous two seasons with the San Jose Sharks, he was dealt to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for winger Martin Havlat, who was a former teammate of his with the Ottawa Senators. On July 9, 2014, Heatley agreed to terms with the Anaheim Ducks for a one-year contract for $1 million dollars as a free agency.
