Danny Trevathan’s biography

Daniel Eugene Trevathan was born on March 24,1990 in Youngstown, Ohio, United States of America to American parents, Vincent Hicks and Michelle Hicks. His father was an athlete who played good football during his college days in his prime at the University of Toledo. His mother counseled him to put God first in everything he did and to be better than his peers.

He attended Leesburg High School in Florida with his speed and intense football style; He was highly admired and cheered on by his schoolmates. He was a three-year starter for his high school team, where he was instrumental in the team’s performances in the state playoffs for three seasons. Danny also participated in all sorts of school sports including weightlifting, basketball and track. His performance at school earned him a number of awards, and he was named Area Defensive Player of the Year by the Leesburg Daily Commercial.

Daniel Trevathan left high school very spirited, with impressive stats after which he enrolled at the University of Kentucky for his college education. The future NFL star played under coaches Rich Brooks and Joker Philips. He was selected to the All-SEC first-team in 2010 after recording 144 tackles that nearly earned him a first-team pick from every conference. He also picked up the college football linebacker honor after his impressive tackles last year. Danny left college feeling fulfilled when he entered the 2012 NFL Draft.

The linebacker was drafted in the sixth round by the Denver Broncos, was drafted 188th overall in the 2012 NFL draft, and officially booked a four-year, $2.2 million contract on May 22, 2012. He began his pro career with a great opening game that saw his team triumph over the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-19. Against Oakland Raiders, he had his first tackle when he faced Mike Godson in the fourth quarter in which his team would record a 37-6 win. He recorded a season-high six combined tackles as well as his first career sack against quarterback Andy Dalton in a 31-23 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He finished his rookie season in notable fashion with 33 combined tackles (22 solos), 3 pass deflections and a sack in 16 games from 16 starts.

The following season (2013), Danny Trevathan finished with 128 combined tackles (88 solos), 10 passing errors, 3 interceptions and 2 sacks in 16 games starting the entire 16. He gave his best for the team until he lost them in 2015, a free agent left.

The Chicago Bears acquired Trevathan’s services in a four-year, $22 million deal he signed on March 9, 2016. The contract has a $12 million guarantee and a $5 million bonus. He continued his successes at his new team, finishing his freshman season with 66 combined tackles (49 solo), four passing deviations and a sack in 9 games, 8 of which he started. He was named the 2018 NFL Week 2 NFC defensive player after six solo tackles, 2 assists and 2 sacks in a 24-17 Monday Night Football win over the Seattle Seahawks. He still has a lot to offer in the NFL.

His girlfriend, wife

Danny Trevathan has a woman he has been so closely connected with since his college days; Her name is Latoria Burns, daughter of Vicky Burns who is from Jackson, Mississippi. Latoria has brothers named Travis and Marvin.

Following Danny’s relationship with Latoria, the latter discovered she was pregnant in 2013 and gave birth to a baby on November 14, 2014. The beautiful baby was named Danior Louise Trevathan. The three beautiful souls have appeared at events together, making it difficult for many people to know that the two lovebirds haven’t exchanged wedding vows. However, they do have some things in common. When the wedding bell rings for the duo, it will be announced for sure.

Why was Danny Trevathan suspended?

Danny Trevathan made headlines for the wrong reasons in 2017 after a dangerous hit to the head of Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams on September 28, 2017. Adams was taken off the field and rushed to the hospital to determine the severity of his injury in the ugly incident .

First, Danny was slammed with two matches, suspended without pay after the incident was investigated. The league announced his suspension on Saturday the following week. However, Danny appealed the two-game suspension and it was reduced by one game after Hall of Famer linebacker Derrick Brook, who was jointly appointed by the NFL and the NFL Players Association, accepted his appeal. Danny felt remorse for attacking his opponent and then apologized.

height and weight

Many still see Danny Trevathan as undersized for the NFL, but the stylish baller sees himself as the best man who can get the job done without a hitch. He’s got the muscles and the chest, maybe the size is what he may not have, but he delivers when called upon to deliver. Danny stands at a height of 1.85 m and weighs 109 kg.
