Daniil Medvedev Small Hernia Surgery And Health Update
Daniil Medvedev will be sidelined after deciding to have a hernia procedure.
He disclosed on his Twitter page that he had been playing games with his hernia for the previous two months.
Daniil won his first Grand Slam championship at last year’s US Open and started this season in excellent form, losing an epic Australian Open final to Rafael Nadal.
However, he has endured several shock defeats in recent weeks and was forced to deny that nerves got the best of him during his quarter-final loss to Hubert Hurcacz at the Miami Open.
Following his loss against Hurcacz, Medvedev made no mention of an injury, but he turned to social media on Saturday to disclose he would be receiving surgery.
