While her father stayed in Hong Kong and at the age of 16, her parents divorced. He then joined school in Vancouver, Canada, where his classmates used to bully him because of his typical shy and quiet Asian boy. She was inspired to earn money when her father went bankrupt and she saw hopelessness in her mother’s eyes.
