The TV personality, Lacy, is the newest addition to the OKC team of Street Outlaws. Sporting his stunning 1968 Camaro Rogue, the newcomer took little time racing his way through the 405’s top list. The racer is now mesmerizing his fans with his 20 years of street racing experience.
While many supporters may be seeing him for the first time this season, Damon is no stranger to the sport. He was only 16 when a local guy introduced him to drag racing, and soon he started doing the local high school pulls at Thunder Valley, Noble, Oklahoma.
Previously, he did some index racing with the Camaro before transforming it into what it is now. He just wanted to do a head-up with the Camaro, and the team completely changed everything. It was necessarily built for the street.
His beloved wife and father have joined him in his crew, and supporters are overwhelmed watching how the team collaborates and does things in an instant.
Damon Merchant Wife Lacy Merchant Is A Mechanic
Damon Merchant Wife Lacy Merchant is among the crew members of her racer husband. She is a professional mechanic and a full-time supporter of her husband.
She ensures her husband’s racing car is in good condition and tuned up before hitting the tracks. The pair have been married for many years and are blessed with three loving kids, Teagan, Logan, and Bryson.

Unlike her husband, she is less dynamic on the platform and has only 10 posts. She has also kept her account private. However, she is active on Facebook, where she flexes her family, allowing fans to glimpse them.
According to her Facebook bio, she hails from Chickasha, Oklahoma, and serves as a Social Work Case Manager at Oklahoma State Human Services Department. When not working, she enjoys her time with her kids, husband, and other family members.
Damon Is The New Driver In Street Outlaws
The 17th season of Discovery Channels Street Outlaws has introduced a new street racer Damon to the tracks.
Along with the return of the familiar faces, the series welcomes the latest addition to the OKC squad in the form of the phenomenon Merchant. In no time, the racer made his way into the top ten of the 405 with his gorgeous 1968 Camaro Rogue.
Having been in the racing tracks since his teenage years, he has already gained racing experience by around 20 years. The rising star has done a lot of mud drag races while growing up in Oklahoma and some index racing.
Before joining the team of Street Outlaws’ riders, Damon and his race car have already appeared in a lot of competitions. He has extensive experience and, no doubt has also experienced some painful crashes.
In 2021, he shared a picture of his car on Facebook being crashed because of a gnarly accident. Following this, he had to miss the NPK race that year. However, he has not recorded any severe crashes on television and fans hope that the driver never gets involved in one.
The driver has amassed notable victories such as at the Street Car Takeover in Noble, The Part After Dark flashlight start race in Wichita Falls (flagged by the legendary Chris Collins), and the Flashlight Shootout at Amarillo Draway.
His streak of success was noticed, and Big Chief soon invited him to join the OKC team.
