American gold miner Dakota Fred Hurt was the star of the Discovery reality series Gold Rush.
He passed away, and the entire world found out on July 11, 2023. He was alive for 80 years. Hurt “fought courageously in his battle against cancer,” according to a statement posted by his family on Facebook.
In the beginning of his television career, Fred worked on the original Gold Rush program. From 2018 to 2023, he hosted the Gold Rush: White Water offshoot. He also made appearances in the Gold Rush spinoffs South America and The Legend of Porcupine Creek.
It is believed that Fred had already moved on with his future wife because of Lorrayne’s prolonged illness and the fact that she had gone to bed.
