While in custody for the murder of Tanya Marie Petro, a Lake Elsinore mother of two, Ron Paoletto, 41, committed suicide.
Tanya was born in Los Angeles County during turbulent times in an often turbulent region, and her life, like the place and period she was born to, was full of upheaval.
Tanya was in the process of recovering from surgery on both of her wrists as a consequence of a workplace injury when she disappeared. She’d also recently ended her relationship with Ron Paulett, a man she’d met through a mutual friend.

Ron Paulett has been charged with the murder of a man whose corpse was discovered in Vans Ranch Pipe Canyon Wash in Landers late Tuesday morning.
Paoletto had been a “person of interest” in the case, but the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed late Tuesday evening that he had been charged with murder.
Paoletto is accused of the unlawful death of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought under penal code 187. He is set to appear in Morongo Superior Court, Dept. M2, on the charge.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office said Petro’s postmortem findings were pending and that no cause of death or time of death had been determined.

Tanya Petro’s murder has been charged against Ron Paoletto. He was detained at Rancho Cucamonga’s West Valley Detention Center. A deputy discovered Ron hanging in his cell around seven months after being charged, which was a terrible turn of events.
