Scott Styris And Wife Nicky Walker Got Married In 2010

The lovely sports couple exchanged their wedding vows on May 29, 2010, in Fiji, New Zealand Herald reported.

Scott and Nicky had been in love for many years before officially tying the knot in front of their friends and family. The 2010 report suggests that their wedding occurred in a beachside ceremony at the Sheraton’s Denarau Island resort.

The all-rounder had left his team, the New Zealand national cricket team, in Florida the last week ahead of their final Twenty20 international match against Sri Lanka to make time for his wedding.

Both of them preserved their marriage coming in 2022 and are happier than ever, indicating they are in a happy married life.

Nicky Walker took upon her husband’s last name formally after her marriage. Hence, she is referred to as Nicky Styris as of today.

Her career specializes in sports and broadcast journalism, and she has been a veteran of more than two decades in the field. She has been a freelance presenter and TV reporter with Sky Television since 2003.

Nicky’s LinkedIn further confirms that she is also working as a Discovery Sports presenter for TV3 Auckland as of October 2016.

A graduate of the University of Otago, Mrs. Styris obtained her Bachelor of Arts in History from 1986 to 1990. She then attended Auckland College of Education for her diploma in teaching from 1994 to 1995.

Before her successful TV career, she was a History and Social Studies teacher at Auckland Girls Grammar School from 1996 to 1999.

Today, Nicky lives in Auckland as a well-known sports journalist and shares her life on her Instagram handle.

Cricket: Scott Styris And Nicky Walker Do Not Share Much Age Gap In Their Marriage

The sports expert couple has been together for nearly twelve years now and enjoys an understanding marriage to date.

It could be their long-lasting love and many similarities in their career and life choices. Or, it could simply be that Scott and Nicky’s less age gap gave them the chance to see things from the same age group perspective.

While the former national cricket player is currently 47 years old, his wife closely follows him in the age group.

Scott was born on July 10, 1975, in Brisbane, while his wife is a native New Zealander.

While there have been no problems in their marriage regarding their age, the couple is undoubtedly a normal one remembering special dates.

On their seventh wedding anniversary on May 29, 2017, Newshub NZ reported on an on-air tussle between the couple when one forgot the special day.

It was Scott; Nicky reminded her viewers that her husband had forgotten the date. However, the jokes came onto her when Scott had already posted a Facebook video showing his hard work for his home-cooked dinner.

The couple has maintained that their marriage is a healthy competition. And both have been successful in preserving and being happy with each other.

The Cricket Couple Styris And Wife Have Two Children In Their Family

Scott and Nicky went on to have a beautiful family with two daughters, apart from their usual competitions and marital riffraff.

The couple’s eldest daughter is Hannah, also known as Hans. She was born on July 30, 1993, making her 29 years old as of 2022.

Hans is a married woman and goes by her new name Hannah Kate Gosney. While she usually appears on her mother’s Instagram, the eldest Styris operates a private Instagram handle.

Her choice of privacy suggests that she prefers to keep herself away from the extra attention from her parents’ fanbases.

Following her elder sister, the Styris family’s youngest blood, Emison, is the same. Her Instagram is also private, while her presence on her mother’s social media handles is easily felt.

Emi is an active Snapchat user as well. Apart from her fame as the youngest daughter of Scott and Nicky, she is also a dedicated athlete.
She plays water polo and competes at numerous tournaments while traveling to various countries.

Her parents, too, support her passion for the sport, and they have followed her sports update every time.

Interestingly, Emi is thirteen years younger than her elder sister, Stuff NZ confirms.
