Craig Mclachlan Accident Update: What Happened To Him?

Craig Mclachlan was not involved in any accidents, but he was accused of lying about giving female coworkers air-kisses during a Rocky Horror Show scene.

During a 2014 production of the Rocky Horror Show, actor Craig McLachlan said he was saddened by media claims that he kissed, grabbed, and touched actors without their permission.

Mclachlan is suing the ABC and Nine Newspapers for defamation over headlines from 2018 alleging he indecently assaulted, harassed, intimidated, and exposed himself to female cast members during The Rocky Horror Show’s 2014 Australian tour.

He’s also suing Christie Whelan Browne, the actress who brought the allegations to the ABC’s 7.30 program and the Sydney Morning Herald.

Mclachlan had stated that he never kissed any of his female co-stars below the shoulders or arms in a bedroom scene on the program, but he revealed that he kissed Whelan Browne on the hip.

He claimed he did so because he dropped a prop cigarette and had to improvise while trying to get it from the bed.

Despite being filed in early 2018, McLachlan’s defamation claim was placed on hold after he was charged by Victoria Police in early 2019 for alleged incidents during the 2014 production’s Melbourne leg.

In December 2020, he was found not guilty of all allegations, as McLachlan stated in a statement to the media.
