The latest developments in the tragic case involving OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney and her Nigerian boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, have taken a startling turn with the arrest of Clenney’s parents, Kim and Deborah Clenney, in Austin, Texas.
The arrest, which occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 30, is linked to allegations of evidence tampering related to the murder case of Christian Obumseli, who was fatally stabbed at the couple’s Miami apartment.
According to reports, the Clenneys were apprehended on suspicion of unauthorized access to a computer, a third-degree felony in the state of Florida. The arrest warrant, obtained by NBC News, sheds light on the alleged involvement of Clenney’s parents and their lawyer, Frank Prieto, in discussions regarding Obumseli’s laptop, left behind in the apartment.
The warrant outlines conversations in a group chat where Clenney’s parents and their attorney reportedly discussed potential passwords for accessing the laptop and the transfer of its possession. Investigators obtained warrants for the parents’ iCloud accounts, which purportedly contained messages detailing strategies for accessing the laptop.
In one exchange, Kim Clenney is said to have claimed he correctly guessed the pin passcode to access the laptop. However, legal counsel advised caution, urging him to refrain from further exploration until necessary.
The laptop eventually made its way into the hands of defense attorneys after being handled by the Clenneys. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the couple’s arrest on Jan. 30 on out-of-state felony charges but refrained from providing additional details, citing their limited involvement in the case.
The developments surrounding the Clenney-Obumseli case continue to unravel, raising questions about the circumstances leading to Obumseli’s tragic demise and the subsequent actions of those involved. As investigations progress, the search for justice remains paramount in a case marked by tragedy and legal complexities.
