Will There Be A Season 5 Of Coroner?
The CBC network is yet to confirm the return of the most-loved drama series for its fifth season. The Season 4 finale left viewers puzzled about many characters and the plot itself.
With Season 4 wrapping up in April, people are confused why the network hasn’t shared any details regarding the next season.
Well, it appears that it’s not the network delaying the decision instead, the delay is due to a change in the cast.
Lead actress Serinda confirmed to step away from the series. She clarified that she won’t return for the next season, even if it happens.
Is it possible the show could survive without the lead character?
As of writing, the network hasn’t completely canceled the drama series. It remains uncertain whether there is a satisfactory storyline that focuses on the remaining characters of the series.
Before the lead actress decided to leave the drama, CBC had all the intentions to renew the series. However, with the absence of Jenny, everyone is figuring out what to do next with the show.
After spending the last five years as the series’ primary driving force, the actress decided to take a break and focus on other interests, although she had plenty of credentials to go along as Jenny.
Swan also made her directional debut this season and wanted to pursue new creative endeavors in directing also.
She created some exciting visual connections, putting her stamp on them.
Following the series’ popularity, the network might be considering the possible making of the fifth season without Swan.
The medical drama has proved to be a success on the network, so it makes sense to return for another season.
