Coronation Street Actress Mary Maddocks Has A Famous Husband

Mary Maddocks actress Coronation Street is married to Don Warrington. Mary was associated with the West End production of The Rocky Horror Show.

Don has been getting notoriety after scoring a gig at the BBC one drama as the inscrutable Commissioner Selwyn Patterson. Its Caribbean fantasy backdrop combined with the family-friendly formula made it the third most-watched program over the festive period.

The show, created by Robert Thorogood, is a French crime comedy-drama that follows Inspector Richard Poole on his quest to inquire about the curious murder of a British police officer.

But by season three, Poole ruffled too many feathers, leading to his untimely passing as clumsy London detective Humphrey Goodman takes over.

After many new actors join along with older ones saying goodbyes, a new ensemble is here to tell tales of romance and life-changing revelations.

Season twelve of the series is still running, with the second episode dropping on BBC on January 12.

Mary Maddocks actress Coronation Street had a few guest appearances on the show. Mary is also a director and has worked on several stage productions.

Don Warrington wife had guest roles in some big TV shows, including Coronation Street, Midsomer Murders, and Doctor Who.

Indeed, the British soap opera created by Granada Television has been a staple of ITV since the 1960s, making its way to pop culture. Its Guinness World Record as the world’s longest-running television soap opera aided the show’s many memorable arrivals, with Mary’s being one of them.

The lady is not so forthcoming about her work in front of the camera but has had a successful time in the West End production of The Rocky Horror Show.

The musical is based on a book by Richard O’Brien and pays tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the 1930s. After it first began premiering in Royal Court Theatre, the trope moved locations all over England until it closed in the 1980s.

But its fame crossed borders with international productions spanning six continents and West End and Broadway revivals.

Mary Is Happily Married To Don

Mary Maddox and Don Warrington have been married for more than three decades. Don is an actor from Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago.

We are unsure how they met, but we suspect they crossed paths while working in the same circle, as her spouse is a celebrated actor.

Mary Maddox husband Don comes from a single-parental family as his brother and mother moved to England. Don changed his surname and began playing on stage at seventeen.

After graduating from Harris College, he pledged to pursue acting and enrolled in Drama Centre London. His career began around 1974 when he played Philip Smith in Rising Damp. He also acted as a series regular in the crime drama C.A.T.S. Eyes and Judge Ken Vineyard in New Street Law.

Through the 90s, he had shorter roles, with several appearances in Doctor Who audio plays. After joining more gigs, he got his breakthrough in 2011 with a BBC program.

Meanwhile, his time in the theater was getting more rewarding with performances in the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Bristol Old Vic, and the Royal Exchange. In 2016, he got the top part of King Lear in a Talawa Theatre Company and Royal Exchange production.

Indeed, he is not one to go without trying, as he even had a shot at the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where he got eliminated on week five.

While his career thrived, he also met the love of his Mary and had two kids with her, sons Jacob and Archie.

Archie Williams Maddocks Is An Aspiring Actor

Coming from a family of actor parents, it is not a stretch that Archie wished to follow a similar path.

In an interview with John Fleming in 2013, he was called a remarkable young man with impeccable comic timing despite doing his first gig a few months prior. He was a playwright by trade and had gotten commissioned by the Bush Theatre to write a play about gentrification.

At 25, he had already written eighteen plays, but that was not his inherent dream. As a teenager, he wanted to wrestle after watching the WWE. He quickly realized it was a faraway thought as he followed his father’s footsteps into the theater.

But everything changed after he got the taste of the first laughter, knowing what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. His few minutes on stage include observational storytelling with half-scripted and half-improvisations.
