Hauser was born in California. He is the son of Cass Warner who founded the production company Warner Sisters. Hauser has a mix of German, Irish and Jewish descent. His parents were divorced when he was a mere two years old. Cole narrated this after about 15 years and met his father as a result of the separation laws. His father during this time made him audition for movies. He always participated in sports enthusiastically but was not that dedicated to his studies.
