Martin Kove is a well-known American actor best known for his role as John Kreese in the 1984 martial arts drama film The Karate Kid. As a television star, he was best known for his role in Cagney & Lacey.

Take a look at the before and after photos of Cobra Kai actor’s plastic surgery speculations.

Has Martin Kove Had Plastic Surgery?

Martin Kove has recently been the subject of plastic surgery rumors. Fans want to know if The Karate Kid actor underwent cosmetic surgery to change his appearance over the years.

Although Martin is best known for his role in The Karate Kid, he has also appeared in a number of other significant films.

Kove appeared in films such as Rambo: First Blood (1982), Wyatt Earp (1994), and others. Given that he’s been acting since 1971, you can imagine how many projects he’s been a part of over the years.

Perhaps his best TV role was Detective Victor Isbecki on Cagney and Lacey (1982-1988). During the show’s six seasons, he appeared in a total of 113 episodes.

And now, he’s back on TV with the Netflix series Cobra Kai, reprising his role as John Kreese from The Karate Kid franchise.

Martin Kove Before & After Photos Explored

Looking at the before and after photos, Martin Kove hasn’t changed much over the years. His brow is completely smooth, but he has some crow’s feet around his eyes, most likely the result of botox injections.

In the unlikely event that we conclude he’s reluctant to undergo plastic surgery, Kove clearly lives a balanced lifestyle, exercises frequently using a great moisturizer, and, of course, he’s blessed with strong genes.

His appearance in the final episode of Season 1 as he joined the new Cobra Kai Dojo delighted viewers. Kove didn’t miss a beat as he stepped into John Kreese’s shoes.

The part of Johnny Lawrence’s vicious sensei, whom Daniel blames for Johnny’s way of life, resurfaced in the heart of Cobra Kai.

The return of John Kreese set up a strong Season 2 plot, as Johnny reconnected with his old mentor. Martin Kove was initially hesitant to take on the role of his legendary character from The Karate Kid films.

Martin Kove Transformation Details

Away from the professional scene, Martin Kove appears to be in good shape for his age. You’d never guess he’s in his mid-seventies.

Because of how good he looks, you could be forgiven for thinking it’s only been a few years since we last saw him. As with his Cobra Kai co-star Ralph Macchio, this has naturally led to plastic surgery allegations.

Aside from cosmetic enhancements, we believe the 75-year-youthful old’s appearance is due to the martial arts he has practiced his entire life.
