However, when he was about to turn 30, one time, as he was on a climbing trip in Yosemite with some friends, he suffered from flu-like symptoms that turned out to be Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It is also called Myalgic encephalomyelitis.
It is a long-term condition where one experiences extreme fatigue and tiredness, and taking rest would not help replenish the energy.
He had also talked about isolation DNA metal health during the pandemic. While the phase was difficult for normal people, his suffering from a chronic illness made it more difficult.
But he also talked about how he did not hesitate to take help. he said he started to view content related to mental health on the internet and helped himself.
Update About Mason Earle Health
Mason Earle stopped pursuing adventures and climbing after his health condition was diagnosed. Although there is no specific medicine exists to treat ME/CFS, it can be used to alleviate some of the symptoms.
Headaches, as well as muscular and joint pain, can be relieved with over-the-counter pain relievers. In addition, a doctor can prescribe stronger painkillers, but they should only be used for a limited time.
However, the world-class climber saw hope in a new treatment. He underwent neurosurgery just a few days ago to relieve brainstem compression that may work for certain people suffering from myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.
However, following that, he has not talked about his health anymore. In addition, he rarely posts pictures online, although sharing his past videos of climbing difficult rocks on his IG handle creates nostalgia.
In the previous podcast, he had talked about recovering slowly and how his life had changed since the diagnosis. In one of the IG posts, he mentioned being able to get out and see his other friends climbing.
