Before he was known as Clayne Crawford, the actor was born Joseph Joey Crawford on April 20, 1978 in Clay, Alabama, USA to Braine and Lennie Crawford. Early in his life, Clayne Crawford was known for his hard work and participation in school and home activities. At school, sport was just as important to him as it was to his academics. He also joined the Speech and Debate clubs and the football and wrestling teams. By the age of 13, Crawford was working on construction with other members of his family. This continued through his teenage years and although he became an actor he was still involved in the construction business.
