Clay Page is an American Musician, whose music has been portrayed as backwoods, southern sounds in a wave of new, traditional country music.

After playing music for close to a decade, he has 2 studio albums/EPs: (Out in the Woods and Southbound) with a new single releasing soon. From 2014 to 2016 he designed his own lyrics and music and also engineered his songs “from his bedroom”.

At the age 20, his’s talent and work ethic mixture had reached some completion most dream of, from numerous television and radio appearances to playing some of the South’s most iconic events and venues. In 2018, he released his first Nashville CD. The (Southbound). At 24years old, he is assured to continue making his mark on the industry.

Local talent and folk creator Clay Page kicks off this year’s Summer Concert Series on the Downtown Elberton Public sq. The Elbert County-raised “country boy” is no stranger to the stage since learning to play guitar at the age of 9. The first time he performed he was only 14 years old.

After graduating from Elbert County Comprehensive High School in 2012, Page has since made a career from his love of music—from teaching guitar lessons to recording fellow local musicians at his Southbound Productions studio — but it’s his songwriting that’s at the heart of his career. Having played in shows as far north as Nashville and as far south as Florida, Page is a member of Nashville Songwriters Association International. He has opened up for big names in the country music industry, including Jake Owens, Joe Nichols, David Allan Coe, and Jason Michael Carroll. According to Page, Southbound Productions is a separate project from Clay Page music.

Page says he and his grandfather worked together to help build the music studio that’s located on Hartwell Highway. He says that though he has made contact with writers in Nashville, he likes the idea of staying local.“I’ve gone to Nashville before, but I really love being home around local talent,” says Page.

Clay County Sheriff’s Wife Files For Divorce; Former Mistress Resigns From JSO

The wife of embattled Clay County Sheriff Darryl Daniels has filed for divorce, and his corrections officer mistress has resigned from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. WJCT News partner The Florida Times-Union reports that court records show Denise Daniels filed the paperwork Friday in Duval County.

Officer Cierra Smith has stripped of her duties nearly a year ago when the internal affairs division launched an investigation into several complaints of misconduct, including that she had sexual relations when Daniels was her boss. Daniel is now the sheriff in Clay County.

The sex claim was not substantiated though many others regarding her conduct were, according to the Times-Union. JSO Sheriff Mike Williams called for her resignation. He is a country singer from Elberton, Ga., who’s well on his way to stardom after convincing a few American Idol judges on Sunday night (March 10). His version of Thomas Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man” was so twangy, Luke Bryan was sold from the get-go.
“You might be our best representation thus far,” Bryan remarked after the performance, adding that Page is not the best singer, but “I’m sold.”

All three judges were mesmerized as he sang, with Lionel Richie telling Page, “You’ve got me on the story, I’m listening to the story. There’s not a lot of hollering and screaming it’s just you’re telling me a story.”

Perry says that Clay is an “A gentle ginger” and “real country.” But it’s likely Bryan’s words that will have the most impact on the budding country star.

“Clay, man, you have a very very infectious knack. It’s a perfectly not trying too hard delivery that’s so gentle to listen to,” Bryan said. “You may be our best representation thus far. You’re not the best country singer in the best world, but you don’t have to be you’re making us hang onto every word. I’m sold completely and fired up for you.”
