JT (born Jatavia Shakara Johnson) is not pleased with the way she was handled by Lil Yachty during her jail term. During an Instagram Live, one-half of the rap duo City Girls called out the “One Night” hitmaker for supposedly cheating on her when she was serving her time in prison.
JT was referring to a number of her friends in the live stream, including Tommie Lee from “Love & Hip Hop” Tommie brought up how Yachty “stayed down” for JT after their chat, as she served her one-year jail term.
Disagreeing with Tommie, JT started airing the disgusting laundry of Yachty. Yachty never gave her any e-mails or messages, according to the 26-year-old star, and cheated on her when she was unable to be with him outside. “Man Yachty is a manipulator and a liar that’s why he stay in the trick zone,” she said, adding, “because he be lying like he really held me down but he had a whole b***h at his grandma’s funeral.”
JT let Yachty, though, protect himself. She called him to join the discussion, yelling, “Come on in here Miles. They said you been telling people you held me down. They want to talk about, so let’s talk about it.”
Yachty then emerged with the camera in the room. Refusing to get pulled into the drama, before leaving the place, he briefly replied to JT’s allegations. “First off I want to say RIP grandma,” he said. “Ya’ll tripping over my grandma funeral? Like for real this is straight cap and I’m not with this Instagram s**t.”
In addition, Yachty said that now they are “business partners”
The lead songwriter for the hit song “Act Up” by City Girls is Yachty. He and JT are friends with the mark, all of whom are signed to Quality Management. While there were rumours that they were dating, they never reported their partnership.
In 2018, JT turned herself in to the police on allegations relating to felony identity fraud, the same year that her party launched the “Period” and “GIRLCODE” songs, including the “Twerk” Cardi B collaboration. She was released for good behaviour earlier this month after one year, but she also needs to serve one year on probation. In order to mark her release, she recently debuted a new track named “JT First Day Out”
