Christine Chubbuck Death Video – Exclusive Reddit Tape

Reddit shared a video on Christine’s death. The link doesn’t work, however.

On the morning of 15 July 1974, a host WXLT, Christine looked into the camera and then drew a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver from her desk and shot herself behind her right ear.

Her last words were “In keeping with the WXLT practice of presenting the most immediate and complete reports of local blood and guts news, TV 40 presents what is believed to be a television first. In living color, an exclusive coverage of an attempted suicide.”

5 years ago Reddit posted ‘Christine Chubbuck on-air suicide in 1974 Video has been located.’ It seemed the station was having a copy.
