Christina Kim is an American professional golfer. She currently plays on the LPGA Tour and on the Ladies European Tour (LET). She started playing golf at the age of 11 years old. As an amateur, Kim competed in eight events in 2001 on the Futures Tour and made three cuts and tied for second once. Kim turned professional in March 2002, just after turning 18 years. She earned her first professional win on August 4, 2002, winning the Hewlett-Packard Garden State Futures Golf Classic on the Futures Tour and qualified for the LPGA Tour by finishing second on the 2002 Futures Tour season-ending money list.
On September 26, 2004, she won the Longs Drugs Challenge and on November 13, 2005, she won the Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions. Kim was a member of three U.S. Solheim Cup teams in 2005, 2009, and 2011. In 2010, she joined the Ladies European Tour (LET), she played in six events, including two that were co-sanctioned with the LPGA. In 2011, she earned her first win on the Ladies European Tour (LET) at the Sicilian Italian Ladies Open.
On November 16, 2014, Kim earned her third career victory at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational Presented by Banamex with a playoff victory over Shanshan Feng. Together with Alan Shipnuck, she has co-written her autobiography, Swinging from My Heels: Confessions of an LPGA Star. When she is not playing golf, Kim enjoys yoga, reading, writing, and studying history. She resides in Orlando, Florida, United States.
