MND: Who Was Chris Rimmer? Explore His Wikipedia
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a neurological disorder that affects the brain and spinal cord’s nerves.
It’s recognized as ALS in some places. MND affects a person’s arms and legs, requiring them to use a wheelchair and limiting their ability to wash, eat, and dress.
Chris has slowly worsened his current physical condition since the commencement of symptoms in 2014. His arms and hands have virtually no movement, with barely enough strength to control a wheelchair. Rimmer is unable to walk or even stand.
Chris became unable to swallow food, necessitating the insertion of a feeding tube for nourishment. He can no longer breathe on his own and requires life support ventilation 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Finally, Chris’ ability to communicate is eroding as his voice becomes weaker and less comprehensible.
