Chris Okotie originally known as Christopher Oghenebrorie Okotie is a Nigerian pastor and televangelist. Chris Okotie is the pastor of Household of God Church international ministries, a pentecostal congregation in Lagos. Chris Okotie was born on 16 June 1958, in Ethiope East, Abraka Delta State in Nigeria.
Chris Okotie went to secondary school at Edo College in Benin City where he was an active member of the music club. In 1984, Chris graduated with a degree in law from the University of Nigeria at Nsukka.
Okotie Chris, while in school interrupted his education to focus on ministry and he went to Grace fellowship Bible School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chris established his own ministry called Household of God ministry after graduating from bible school.
Okotie realized his potential to run for the office of president of Nigeria under the banner of the Justice Party, led by Ralph Obiorah. Chris Okotie’s effort to become a president ended when he lost to Olusegun Obasanjo in the May 2003 elections. Chris Okotie ran again in 2007 but lost to Umaru Yar’Adua in the May 2007 elections. In 2011, Chris Okotie ran again and lost to Goodluck Jonathan.
