Evans started his career on the 2000 TV series called Opposite Sex. Aside from his work in superhero films, he also got featured in movies like Sunshine, Not Another Teen Movie, Snowpiercer, Gifted and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In 2014, he debuted as a director of the drama film Before We Go where he was also a star. Evans debuted on Broadway in the 2018 production of Lobby Hero.
