Christopher Louis Bosio (born April 3, 1963) is a former Big League Baseball pitcher who spent time with the Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners from 1986 to 1996. He is now the Chicago Cubs’ major league pitching coach. He went to Sacramento City College and Cordova High School. On April 22, 1993, against the Boston Red Sox, Bosio became the second pitcher in Mariners history to throw a no-hitter. The game’s last out came when shortstop Omar Vizquel threw out Ernest Riles bare-handed after a high chopper over the mound. It was the last no-hitter thrown by a single Mariners pitcher until Félix Hernández’s perfect game on August 15, 2012, when the club pitched a six-pitch no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers. It was also the last occasion the Red Sox went hitless.
