Chetna Makan Chef
Chetna began pursuing her career as a cook after moving to Kent. She came to the limelight after competing on the fifth season of The Great British Bake Off in 2014. On The Great British Bake Off, Chetna became the semi-finalist.
After the show, she later went on to host her own YouTube cooking show, Food with Chetna. Her bakes blend flavors from traditional Indian and British recipes.
Though Chetna was inspired by her mother’s cooking while growing up, she trained in fashion design as an adult. She trained as a fashion designer in Mumbai.
Chetna released her first cookbook titled The Cardamom Trail in the UK on April 21st, 2016, and in the US on May 3rd, 2016. In 2017 she also released another book, which became her second book, Chai, Chaat, and Chutney.
